What is a double conc swage nipple?
A double swage nipple is a single, solid reducer with both ends prepared for the same joining method—threaded (NPT), beveled (butt-weld), or PLAIN. It maintains a common centerline (concentric geometry) and minimizes overall length compared with separate reducer + nipple assemblies.
When to choose double (vs. single/mixed-end)
- You need both ends identical for speed and standardization (e.g., TBE for fully threaded systems, BBE for weld-in transitions, PLAIN.
- You want a compact, single-piece solution to reduce leak paths and installation time.
Materials & finishes
Carbon steel, stainless, alloy steels for high P/T or corrosive service.
Finishes:
- BBE (Bevel Both Ends)
- BExPE (Bevel End × Plain End)
- BExTE (Bevel End × Threaded End)
- PBE (Plain Both Ends)
- PExTE (Plain End × Threaded End)
- TBE (Threaded Both Ends)
- TOE
Why choose a double swage nipple
- Both ends prepped for the same joint type → faster install, fewer fittings.
- Single-piece integrity and shorter face-to-face vs. reducer + nipple combos.
- Concentric geometry for centered flow paths and clean layout.
