Double Swage Nipples (MSS SP-95) are single-piece reducers with both ends prepped—ideal when you need a compact, ready-to-install transition fitting. Available in carbon steel, stainless, and alloy, with NPT × NPT (TBE), Bevel × Bevel (BBE), or PLAIN X PLAIN (PBE) and other configurations. Schedules include STD/S40, XS/S80, 160, XXS. MTR 3.1.

What is a double conc swage nipple?

A double swage nipple is a single, solid reducer with both ends prepared for the same joining method—threaded (NPT), beveled (butt-weld), or PLAIN. It maintains a common centerline (concentric geometry) and minimizes overall length compared with separate reducer + nipple assemblies.

When to choose double (vs. single/mixed-end)

  • You need both ends identical for speed and standardization (e.g., TBE for fully threaded systems, BBE for weld-in transitions, PLAIN.
  • You want a compact, single-piece solution to reduce leak paths and installation time.
